George Osborne’s Northern Powerhouse is already creating opportunities across the North of England and further afield, with £13bn of investment expected as part of the Chancellor’s plans to enhance the region.

The project will involve “providing the modern transport connections they need; by backing their science and universities; by backing their creative clusters; and giving them the local power and control that a powerhouse economy needs” and will benefit businesses right down the supply chain, from Prime Contractors to the smallest SME.
