Build-to-rent developer Brickland has appointed ISG to two city centre residential schemes in the North West with a combined construction value of over £70 million.
In Manchester, ISG will deliver the £48 million Cornbrook development – a 363-apartment scheme spanning two towers blocks of 16 and 19 storeys. Both blocks will incorporate a slip form concrete core and traditional brick facade, with undercroft car parking and raised courtyards. Enabling works are currently underway with work expected to start on-site in November and completion scheduled for autumn 2020.
ISG will also deliver a circa £24 million, nine-storey, 200-unit development in the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool. The 200 units comprise one, two and three-bedroom apartments, with commercial space at ground floor level. Work is due to commence in October, with completion scheduled for summer 2020.
According to Paul Munro, Regional Director for ISG in the North West: “This appointment showcases our capability to deliver high-value projects in our core cities as we continue to contribute to the ever-changing skylines across Manchester and Liverpool. Both schemes address the region’s continuing demand for high-quality rented accommodation, alongside a real focus on creating a sense of community and place.”
Darren Leary, Director at Brickland, added: “We are pleased to be working in partnership with ISG to deliver these two high profile schemes and hope that these projects will be a catalyst to further develop our relationship nationally on our wider pipeline.”
