Funding for businesses in technology-inspired innovation

If you’re a small or micro business looking for funding to develop a new product or service in enabling technologies, Innovate UK is offering funding to help you work out if your idea is feasible.

Innovate UK is investing £2 million in a feasibility studies competition. It will encourage innovation in four areas:

  • advanced materials
  • biosciences
  • electronics, sensors and photonics
  • information and communications (ICT)

We want ideas that will lead to genuinely new products and services, with real commercial potential.

The competition is open to any small or micro business with an innovative idea in these areas and winning projects will attract up to 75% of the costs of carrying out the feasibility study (with total project costs being up to about £33,000).

The deadline for registration is 14 January 2015. For more information click on the relevant technology area: advanced materials, biosciences, electronics, sensors and photonics or ICT.
