Ebury Bridge Estate planning approved

Planning permission has been granted for Westminster City Council’s proposed redevelopment of the Ebury Bridge Estate in Pimlico, south-west London.

The Council’s planning applications sub-committee resolved on 10 June to grant conditional planning permission for the redevelopment of the estate, subject to approval from the mayor of London.

Plans for the site involve the demolition of eight blocks and their replacement with four new buildings between four and 14 storeys high. Proposals include 271 new residential units with a mix of one, two, three and four bedrooms. Of the homes being constructed, 155 will be affordable.

Plans also provide for a new community room; a children’s playspace; new pedestrian routes; car parking; and the use of ground floor and basement space for shops, offices and other non-residential uses.
