Boris Johnson Urges Small Businesses To Use CompeteFor
James Park - January 20, 2014

At the Institute of Directors’ annual convention on the 18th of September, Boris Johnson highlighted London as a city where small businesses can thrive, by virtue of it having the “biggest opportunities” and “most talented workforce”.

CompeteFor, the website set up to allow businesses to compete for contract opportunities generated by London 2012, continues to aid small businesses, he said.

“CompeteFor worked very well,” said Johnson. “You saw a lot of people getting contracts from small businesses to supply things to the Olympics. Public procurement continues to be done via that website and I would urge anybody who has a small business to get onto that website”.
