Jane Gratton, Infrastructure Fellow at the British Chambers of Commerce and Deputy Chief Executive of Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce, comments on the publication of the National Infrastructure Delivery Plan.

Commenting on the National Infrastructure Delivery Plan 2016-2021, Jane Gratton, Infrastructure Fellow at the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), said:

“It is reassuring that the Plan emphasises the need for sustainable private finance solutions – a key step in taking a holistic view of infrastructure. For businesses to have confidence in the Plan and the National Infrastructure Commission, we need to see evidence of pace and delivery on the ground. Ministers must act on the recommendations made and not allow short-term political interests to get in the way of long-term planning.”
