Horizon will actively encourage appointed suppliers to advertise sub-contracting opportunities through CompeteFor

Wylfa Newydd is one of the most demanding and exciting infrastructure projects in Europe, with opportunities for capable supply chain companies of all sizes to engage on the Programme. There will be a requirement for the Supply Chain to provide services and skills across a wide range of activities and, in some instances, an engagement could continue for many decades.

Horizon ask interested groups from Regional, National and International business groups to familiarise themselves with the Horizon Supplier Code of Conduct which outlines the ethical and sustainable way of working that will be expected of the supply chain supporting the Programme and if they consider they can meet these expectations they are invited to register their interest through CompeteFor.

Horizon encourage SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) to also register with Compete For to receive notifications of opportunities arising on the project, and we also actively encourage these groups to make themselves known to the local and national government economic development departments. Horizon are themselves working closely with the Welsh Government, HM Government and local councils to help develop the SME’s who wish to support the Programme, and through these routes provide a route to  involvement.

Please regularly visit the Horizon “Awardee Information” page on CompeteFor to get information on recent contract awards. This will provide key contract information for those able and/or interested in supporting the Programme.

Mae Wylfa Newydd yn un o’r prosiectau seilwaith mwyaf heriol a chyffrous yn Ewrop, gyda chyfleoedd i gwmnïau cadwyn gyflenwi galluog o bob maint ymgysylltu â’r Rhaglen. Bydd gofyn i’r Gadwyn Gyflenwi ddarparu gwasanaethau a sgiliau ar draws amrywiaeth eang o weithgareddau ac, mewn rhai achosion, gallai’r ymgysylltiad barhau am sawl degawd.

Mae Horizon yn gofyn i grwpiau sydd â diddordeb o blith grwpiau busnes Rhanbarthol, Cenedlaethol a Rhyngwladol ymgyfarwyddo â Chod Ymddygiad Cyflenwr Horizon sy’n amlinellu’r ffordd foesegol a chynaliadwy o weithio a ddisgwylir gan y gadwyn gyflenwi sy’n cefnogi’r Rhaglen, ac os bydd o’r farn y gallant fodloni’r disgwyliadau hyn, cânt eu gwahodd i gofrestru eu diddordeb drwy CompeteFor.

Mae Horizon yn annog busnesau bach a chanolig i gofrestru gyda Compete For er mwyn cael hysbysiadau am gyfleoedd sy’n codi yn y prosiect, ac rydym hefyd yn annog y grwpiau hyn i dynnu sylw atynt eu hunain yn adrannau datblygu economaidd llywodraeth leol a chenedlaethol. Mae Horizon ei hunan yn cydweithio’n agos â Llywodraeth Cymru, Llywodraeth Ei Mawrhydi a chynghorau lleol i helpu i ddatblygu’r busnesau bach a chanolig sy’n dymuno cefnogi’r Rhaglen a darparu llwybr i gymryd rhan drwy’r llwybrau hyn.
