Working with Sizewell C<\/b><\/p>\n

Sizewell C is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to power the UK’s future while creating thousands of jobs, driving skills, protecting natural habitats and boosting local businesses. The project will generate at least 70,000 jobs nationwide, both directly and across its supply chain, with thousands of well-paid roles established in the local community. With our supply chain we are creating over 1,500 apprenticeships to help develop the skills and technology Britain needs to provide energy security for the UK.<\/p>\n

British business<\/b><\/p>\n

Sizewell C is a UK-based development built by UK-based businesses, driving investment in areas where it is needed most. We are committed to keeping 70% of our construction spend in the UK, creating opportunities for local, regional, and national companies while boosting economic growth.<\/p>\n

Local Supply Chain Engagement<\/b><\/p>\n

The local and regional supply chain engagement programme is funded by Sizewell C and delivered by\u00a0Suffolk Chamber Supply Chain Engagement Team<\/a>.<\/b>\u00a0They help companies in Suffolk and the wider regions of Norfolk, Essex, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire engage with Sizewell C and our Tier 1 suppliers, to best prepare their business to be ready for Sizewell C and keep them up to date with all relevant project news.<\/p>\n

UK regional Supply Chain Engagement<\/b><\/p>\n

Our nuclear power project will deliver 70% of its construction value to UK companies and,\u00a0as\u00a0a near replica of Hinkley Point C, we\u2019re drawing on the expertise and\u00a0a mature\u00a0supply chain while also creating exciting new opportunities for businesses across the East of England and beyond. Of the 70,000 job opportunities created in the supply chain as a result of Sizewell C, and of the 1,500 apprenticeships, around 13,000 opportunities\u00a0will include\u00a0people employed\u00a0from\u00a0the North of England.<\/p>\n

This builds on the deep nuclear heritage the region has built up over decades\u00a0and, along with providing jobs, it will create\u00a0tangible improvements to the social fabric of northern communities where long-overdue social and economic improvements will be felt.\u00a0Suppliers\u00a0from the Midlands, North, Scotland and Wales\u00a0form an important part of the Hinkley Point C supply chain\u00a0and\u00a0Sizewell C will continue to harness the considerable skillset of\u00a0our regional\u00a0suppliers to build Sizewell C, in the process developing a pipeline of talent that can help the nuclear industry\u00a0including with other nuclear projects such as Wylfa in Wales.<\/p>\n

    Sizewell C ESG Supply Chain Delivery Goals<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Sizewell C has developed five ESG Supply Chain Goals that pinpoint key areas where the supply chain can contribute to achieving the project\u2019s Strategic Aims.
