NG Bailey safety advisor Matthew Bailey achieved an extraordinary goal \u2014 climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the Steve Prescott Foundation (SPF) – a charity supporting cancer treatment and transplant research.<\/p>\n

This challenging journey tested his physical and mental strength while supporting a cause dedicated to helping others. He said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI agreed to this challenge after a 30-second call with a friend. It\u2019s so easy to overthink, but sometimes the best decision is just to say yes. The rewards \u2014 from training and preparation, to meeting new people and forming lifelong friendships, are truly amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The climb has inspired him to consider future challenges, including a potential Steve Prescott Foundation<\/a> expedition in China.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I can raise money, meet incredible people, and explore new cultures, I\u2019d be mad not to do it again,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He highlighted the importance of focusing on physical and mental well-being.<\/p>\n

\u201cBreaking the silence around stress and mental health struggles is vital, as is addressing the stigma of vulnerability,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

He also emphasised the value of staying active and open.<\/p>\n

\u201cPrioritising regular check-ups, staying physically active, and having open conversations can make a massive difference. Taking on challenges like these benefits, not only great causes, but also your own well-being.\u201d<\/p>\n
