SME Matchmaker

PPP operates a SME Matchmaker service (part of Swimming with the Big Fish) which matches small to medium enterprises to its KDPs. The service helps to provide companies with opportunities for long term sustainable work with PPP and its KDPs.

The service includes assessing SMEs against criteria aligned to PPPs Critical Success Factors. The results are shared with the KDPs and Matchmaker supports SMEs and KDPs to finalise SME Framework Agreements.

PPP also regularly attends and supports events aimed at SMEs, including BECBC, Sellafield Ltd’s SME events, and more.

Since mobilising in 2019, PPP has awarded contracts with a potential value of £3 billion. The partnership is now working with around 200 suppliers from across the UK, with 40% based in the north-west region and almost 70% being SMEs.

The Swimming with the Big Fish SME Matchmaker Service has already supported high performing SMEs to secure opportunities for long-term frameworks with KDPs, as part of the KDP tender process to support delivery of the PPP Critical Success Factors.
