NHP will be delivered through consecutive waves of investment.\u00a0 This will ensure that there is always a balanced portfolio of schemes at different development stages being delivered now and into the future. Following the New Hospital Programme: plan for implementation, published 20 January 2025, NHP has been confirming its approach for delivering schemes across all investment Waves. This prioritises Wave 0 and 1 scheme delivery, whilst ensuring that schemes in later Waves benefit from lessons learned and are Hospital 2.0 (H2.0) compliant.<\/p>\n

The following schemes began construction before 2025.\u00a0 These are known as Wave 0 Schemes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The following schemes will start construction between 2025 and 2030.\u00a0 These are known as Wave 1 Schemes.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 16 hospitals that make up our Wave 1 schemes includes three different types of hospitals, categorised as Wave 1a, 1b and 1c.\u00a0 Awarded contractors for these schemes have been outlined below:<\/p>\n
