NHP will be delivered through consecutive waves of investment. This will ensure that there is always a balanced portfolio of schemes at different development stages being delivered now and into the future. Construction start dates for schemes will then be spread across a 5-year period. See the NHP Supplier Guide for further details.
Following the New Hospital Programme: plan for implementation, published 20 January 2025, NHP has been confirming its approach for delivering schemes across all investment Waves. This prioritises Wave 0 and 1 scheme delivery, whilst ensuring that schemes in later Waves benefit from lessons learned and are Hospital 2.0 (H2.0) compliant.
